Exciting news about what to expect from us in 2016 design-wise! 2015 was a fantastic year design-wise for us because we were able to utilize our fun, playful and inquisitive nature and we introduced wrap designs that were deeply rooted in our core intrinsic passion. From our fountain of love range to our fluffy shade of feathers, our 2015 designs were such a pleasure to develop from sketch to finished fabric. So this year 2016, we have been brainstorming about simplicity, style and trend. Some of the key style predictions for 2016 is that stripes will be making a comeback. In our very playful nature of not liking monotony, we had told ourselves in the previous years that the blackberry ripple will be our only stripy woven wrap. We always love to spread our wings and explore newer design/style areas. However, the more and more we delved into the 2016 style predictions, the more we observed that many people are tending towards minimalism when it comes to their personal style. From our family front and moving into a new de-cluttered living space, we can see how minimalism is such a breath of fresh air in practical terms. So you can tell that you will be seeing some minimalistic stripy gorgeousness from the stables of Joy&Joe. We also wanted to build on our love for our scientific background and the trillusion won't be the end of our foray into textile art influenced by science. This year, you will also be seeing a Joy &Joe wrap that is inspired by geographical topography. Then we also have another design inspired by another branch of science called Botany. Botany is the study of plants. So you make your guess and we can tell you that you will be dazzled by our design. Now a clue is that you will need to get your microscopic devices out to enjoy the beauty of this particular quirky design Style predictions have also pointed out that ethnic designs will be big this year so we are hoping to re-introduce our gorgeous kente design in brighter newer colours and also re-introduce another spanking new ethnic inspired woven wrap design. Part of the proceeds from the sale of our ethnic range will be donated to a West African charity that we will be announcing alongside the release of this particular range of slings this year. Conclusively, some of our 2014 and 2015 designs will be re-woven in fresh new colours including our new sling library/teaching wrap. What colours will you like to see? and what specific designs will you like to make a comeback this year? 2016 is a fresh canvas so we are excited about hearing from you lovely Joy&Joe fans. We also have so much more pleasant surprises up our sleeves this year so please ensure that you receive our newsletters so that you can get our regular announcements delivered straight into your inbox. Also paramount to us is our daily interaction with you so we would love you ensure that our Facebook updates are reaching your timeline. We promise that we will infuse your babywearing journey with so much joy this year so enjoy this awesome ride with us :) The photos of our new spanking new wraps and release dates will be announced soon xoxo
